Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up on the companion care’s preventive care plan and how much does it cost?
Based on the findings from the initial physical exam done by our veterinarians, a suitable plan is suggested. Once you decide on a specific plan our experienced team member will sign your pet up on the Preventive Care Plan, which will allow you to receive the plan’s services the same day. Your monthly cost will be determined by the specific plan you choose. First-time registration would include a one-time membership fee.
How long does the preventive care plan last?
The Preventive Care Plan starts on the day you sign up and will last for 1 year from the signup date. The plan will renew at the end of 12 months to provide continuous health care to your pet.
How do I pay for the preventive care plan?
Payments will be automatically charged to your credit or debit card on either the 1st or 15th of each month.
Can I cancel the plan?
Yes. When canceling your plan, you are required to pay the retail price of the services already used less the monthly payments made thus far. Or, you can continue to pay out the rest of the plan for the remaining plan period, whichever is less.
Can I upgrade or downgrade the plan?
You can upgrade or downgrade the plan within the first 30 days from the plan sign-up date to a new Preventive Care Plan. After that, you have to wait until your original 12-month term expires and notify us 30-days prior to your renewal date if you decide to make that change.
What happens to my puppy/kitten plan after it expires? is there a cost to transition to the adult plan?
When your puppy or kitten plan reaches the 12-month expiration period, it will automatically renew to the same level as the adult Dog or Cat plan. There are no additional charges for renewal, and the new plan payments will continue to be withdrawn on either the 1st or 15th of the month.
Can my preventive care plan be transferred to another pet?
No. Companion Care’s Preventive Care Plans are non-transferrable to another pet or a pet owner.
How can I make sure that services on the plan are used before the renewal period
Unused services do expire at the time of the renewal however you will get timely reminders when services are due.
